ZOCO Electric Bikes Australia has signed up to sponsor Walter Van Praag and his team of riders when they take off in September 2012 for a tough 5000km electric bike ride from Vietnam to Singapore all in the name of supporting and promoting Cystic Fibrosis.
The team have been fully kited up with 4 top of the range ZOCO Electric Bikes to get them through the tough 5000km journey from Vietnam to Singapore. The ZOCO electric bikes will assist the team mostly to get through the steep hills and strong headwinds, which will enable the team to complete 75 – 150km per day without too much energy being expended. ZOCO Electric Bikes is a proud sponsor for this great cause and I am sure our electric bikes will assist in making the 5000km journey, a roaring success.
About Walter Van Praag
Walter Van Praag first gained notoriety in Australia and the international Cystic Fibrosis community when he cycled from Paris to Istanbul in honor of the cause in 2007; this 4,000 km ride landed him repeated stories on CNN and features across Australian and international press. Following this feat, Van Praag was named one of the Top 20 Australian Cyclists in The Australian Cyclist magazine and the ride even spawned a documentary and two books about it.
In this latest endeavor, dubbed the Coughing4CF Vietnam2Singapore Ride, Walter Van Praag and his team will once again put his body and his Cystic Fibrosis to the test in an epic 5,000 km ride from Vietnam to Singapore over the course of two grueling months starting September 1st, 2012. This is all in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis and promoting organ donation.
